Susan was such a compassionate, kind and thoughtful person. I got to know her through her tremendous work at BIDMC, particulalry in primary care medicine. Susan always went out of her way for the patients who were lucky enough to have been served by her. She always had a 'patient first' approach to everything she did. I loved working with her and know that the staff in Primary Care and in Social Work adored her as well. She made a real difference in the lives of many. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Steve O'Neill, Boston, MA

My sincerest sympathy to the Meehan family. It was my pleasure to be associated with Susan here at Beth Israel Deaconess when she worked with our volunteer surgical liaison program and also with our program in Hematology/Oncology. She will be missed.
