We moved to Pasadena, California from Illinois in 1985 and were lucky enough to choose our first home on Galbreth Road, across the street from Bernie and Susan Peralta and their lovely family. I have clear and fond memories of Susan's cheerful wave upon coming home from work just as I was pulling into the drive having picked up my children from their active day.
