I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Susan when I was at Dana Elementary School in 2009. She always had a smile on her face, words of encouragement to any fellow staff. But mostly the joy she would bring when the students would run to her with open arms for a hug, words of encouragement etc. She was truly a remarkable person. Always willing to take the time from her busy schedule to be of assistance. She was a great mentor and someone who will be greatly missed!

Susan and I met September 1971 at Bridgewater College. We transferred to UNCG together. I was blessed to meet Susan, call her friend and spend time with her. I know the Lord welcomed Susan home. I so enjoyed our visit in July and the wondermous adventures we undertook. Greatest love to Rick, Children and Grandchildren.
