Not sure what to say?

The Reverend Susan will ALWAYS have a place in my heart and mind, as a role model of pastoral presence, among the first women to be ordained to the Episcopal priesthood, and who was such a powerful and loving pastor and friend.

Dear Abby and Sarah, We are remembering your mother in our prayers today, and all of you who are feeling her loss so keenly. What a fine friend and woman of God! May she rest in peace, Yours, Julie Bryant (Gray) and family

Susan lifted me up during the darkest days of my life as a young wife and mother nearly 30 years ago. I had lost my own mother and brother only a month apart and was facing a terminal illness, myself. The comfort she provided, her spirit, love and wisdom delivered and restored me. I was young, tired and frightened and I will never forget her beautiful ministry and her generous and genuine gift of love. I hope my simple story provides a comfort to you, her family, because there must have...

Susan was the most amazing woman, spiritual leader, healer and shining light. I had the privilege to work closely with Susan when she came to St. David's church. Susan radiated love to all people. I am very saddened by her passing, and send my sympathy to all of the family and friends.

The Reverend Susan Tobias was a ground-breaking role model and guiding light for women during her ministry as Associate Priest from 1988-1991 at St. James-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla, California. Her legacy lives on.

Abby, I know this has been a difficult journey for you, your mom, and your entire family. I only hope there is peace for your mom now and that sadness you feel now is soon replaced with wonderful memories. Hugs and much love.
