Susan was a dear friend of mine (and my family's) as both a Rock of Strength and Ray of Bright Light. She inspired all who knew her. May she move Forward in Peace and Delight. With Love, Miriam Faugno, NYC

Jen A beautiful tribute to your mother. She was a remarkable person. Wonderful childhood memories of growing up on Michigan Boulevard with your mom, from playing statue maker in the front yard, to paper dolls in her bedroom , and drinking Kool-Aid on the green porch furniture. Happy to have stayed in touch with her all these years, even though miles apart, You have been a blessing to your mom, and your mom lives on in you. Sending love and hugs.

Susan ,( or Suzy as I called her when we were little girls growing up on Michigan blvd )was a happy part of my childhood .We lived just a few houses apart and had a lot of fun together. Martha would take us down to the beach for a summer afternoon. And we loved playing together often! So many childhood memories of those special days! I was able to reconnect with Susan and Jennifer years later - and those times are also a treasured memory now!

Hi Jennifer...the obit for your mom was a wonderful tribute to a kind and beautiful woman. We (Glenn and Sharon) want you know how sorry we are for your loss. You are in our prayers as you go through the service this week and the celebration of your mom's life. I (Sharon) still treasure her special wedding present to Glenn and I. Your mom and I both shared a special bond as we prepared for our weddings. She gave us a beautiful lead glass house which had symbolic meaning for us both. ...

My Heartfelt Condolences for the family of Ms. Susan Varon. She was a Facebook friend sharing her beautiful poems and magical watercolors. I admired her, I did not know her, it was her life in poetry and color that touched my life. Thank you, Susan.
