We, Georges Adrian, and I think of Susan often -- her marvelous bright personality, her visits to us in France, our walks together, her art -- and how her art reflected so vividly her experiences, some of which were difficult -- her originality. We reach to her family now, hoping to share with you are deeply felt memory of Susan!

Susan is present in my thoughts, often. Even today, before receiving this obituary message of June 16 2019, I thought of how, several years ago, I lost a special friend. A person with whom we could talk on topics of all sorts, art and ideas, imagination, dreams, -- and take walks, and invent accents with which to speak, as though to take on other personalities and to laugh and enjoy the variety of human existance.
Her art has so many facets. I remember seeing her paintings in one of her...

To the White family,
It has been a year since Susan left us, and I wanted to contact you to let you know that the loss still is felt - Susan, the person I so appreciated knowing , her intelligence and kind thoughtfulness, her creativity as an artist, her careful work as a conservator. I knew Susan from her first summer at the art program in Lacoste France in 1980. Keeping in touch over the years, seeing her art projects as they evolved, was continuously interesting and I hope now that her...

Dear Family of Susan,
I am extremely saddened to hear of Susan's departure. I live partly in France and have kept up with Susan every time I return to the States, now to find the sad news. Susan was a wonderful friend, and artist. I wish I could contact you, and share with you the deepfelt thought, how we all can keep her memory near us in our hearts-
Crystal Woodward (617 484 6487, Mass.)

Dear White Family,
Michael and I just learned of Susan's passing in June. We had been out of touch, but had seen her in late April, and had no idea her illness had progressed so far, but as you know, she had been ill on and off for over 20 years. We met her as a lovely, talented teenager--over a lifetime, and will always cherish her memory. We can't imagine the depth of your loss, as we feel her loss as well, but are happy that she is finally at peace.

Dear White Family and Susan's friends...
I am totally in shock, finding out about her death just now. I knew Susan from a residency in NYC. She was a great artist and had such a wonderful sense of humor, even when she was sick. I will miss her.

A memorial service for Susan will be held on Sunday, July 29th, at 2:00 p.m. The service will held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 79 Denton Road, Wellesley, MA.

Dear White Family - Susan's death has saddened all of the Oxbow Gallery members. We appreciated her commitment to making and showing her work, as well as her full participation in gallery events. Sadly, the past years were filled with the struggle to overcome illness. I am so sorry that her life has ended, and hope you can take comfort in what she has accomplished. Judith Mann
