My condolences to her family. Susan and I crossed paths professionally nearly a decade ago and off and on through the years since we both worked in the international trade arena. She was an absolute delight with her keen intellect, her sense of humor, and her profound passion for her work. I will miss her!

Sisters are yours forever: they know your history, your story, and who you are better than anyone. They help you understand the context of yourself in the big whirl of life. That is what I have lost. I have fond memories of playing together with neighborhood kids in Kailua, bodysurfing at the beach before anyone called it that, laughing hard at silly things. Sue, it was indeed a privilege working with you for many years. I looked forward to my trips to Mobile, and our many interesting conversations and your conviviality. You are a good person, and I'm sorry to see you go, but remember that those to whom we say farewell, are welcomed by others. 'A demain!

Susan and I were sisters; with many years and many miles between us. I fondly remember the summers Susan and Jeanne would come to visit in California. I loved bragging that my oldest sister had a Southern drawl, ate gumbo and had alligators in her yard.

My loving big sister Susan.... you made me laugh, inspired me, were like a mother to me during my hard times, were a friend, worked so hard for all of us in the family when we were sick,or in need.
