SUSAN A. WILLIAMSON

On September 6, 2010 my loving mother, Eli's and Cole's beloved grandmother Susan A. (Jean) Williamson peacefully passed to her new life after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Fall River, Mass. to the late Napoleon (Babe) and Edith Jean. Susan was married for 24 years to the late Samuel E. Williamson. They resided in Tiverton where ther raised their family. Susan attended St Partick's elementary and Mount St Mary's Academy in Fall River. She was a graduate of Salve Regina University where she received her education. Susan spent her life teaching special needs students in the Providence and Fall River school districts, retiring in 2009. Susan gave so much of herself educating and mentoring her students.

Susan was the devoted mother of Amy (Williamson) Roeske and the late Samuel W. Williamson. Susan is survived by Amy, her son-in-law David, her grandsons Elia and Cole Roeske. She was the loving sister of Janet (Jean) Read of Dighton, Barbara (Jean) Howard of Fall River and the late Fred Jean of Dorcester.

She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Susan also leaves behind her long time loving and dedicated companion William Geary of Fall River.

Susan was especially fond of gardening and spending summers on the beach.

Susan will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave to her grandsons Eli and Cole. Susan was a special person who touched so many lives, she will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on FRIDAY from 4-7 PM at the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI. Her Funeral Service will be held on SATURDAY at 11am at the United Congregational Church, The Commons, Little Compton, RI. Burial at Pocasset Hill, Tiverton. Not sure what to say?

Dearest Amy,

My prayers are with you, David and the boys. I know Aunt Sue is resting easily now; such a good, loving mother and grandmother had her place in heaven waiting for her. Her wit, spirit and laughter is truly missed on earth.

Love, cousin Joanne

So sorry for your loss, you had a wonderful mom. I graduated from St. Patrick's school with her. We were good friends during our grammar school years.

David, Amy, Eli & Cole,

Sending you our sincerest condolences on the loss of your loved one. God Bless you all at this difficult time.

Michael, Lori & Michael II

Met Sue at Kuss when I was a first year teacher, she quickly became a mentor and friend. I will never forget the kindness in her smile. Know she touched my life for the better and will always be remembered...God Bless her family at this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of working with Sue. She was one of the nicest people I've ever known. She was always so kind to me. She had a gift for making everyone feel comfortable and welcome in her presence. The kids at Kuss adored her, too. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear Amy,
My prayers are with you & your family for your loss.

Your family is in our hearts and thoughts during this time. Sue was a wonderful person and I am glad to have had the opportunity to have worked alongside with her and known her. She had an inner light that will never be forgotten. She will be missed.

Dear Amy,
Please know that my prayers and thoughts are with you.
