SUSANNAH STRONG Obituary

STRONG, SUSANNAH ELIZABETH May 11, 1969 to October 21, 2010 Susannah Elizabeth Strong, 41, died on Thursday, October 21, 2010, in Grossmont Hospital from complications of liver failure. She was born in San Diego on May 11, 1969, to Pauline and Sidney Forman. She attended Patrick Henry High School and UC Santa Barbara where she majored in business and English. She spent many years in retail management positions in San Diego. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was the type of person who, at a party, would have everybody in laughter. She loved drama and singing and as a child would grab a microphone if any were available. If one wasn't available, she would find the nearest broomstick or a butter knife and pretend. Always a good student, she graduated from high school at the age of 17 and went on to graduate from UC Santa Barbara. She was married to her lifelong partner, Steven Strong. She is survived by her husband, her mother Pauline Forman and brother Stuart. Graveside services are on Monday, October 25th, at 11:30 a.m. at El Camino Memorial Park in Sorrento Valley.

Susannah and I were friends in high school. We were in several plays together, and went to a few dances. She was always a bright and shining light. I took the picture that Melissa posted, and I will always remember her that way. Beautiful, smiling and bright. I am so sorry to hear this news and I will keep Susannah and her family in my thoughts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have many memories of playing with Susannah as a youngster, at your home, reenacting songs from Grease, and then with her in Drama and all through our school years. She was always so much fun, and such a nice person. Anyone that knew her, liked her, she was a bright, shining light.

Dear Pauline and Stuart,
I am so sorry to hear this. I have been out of touch with Susannah for awhile but have such wonderful memories of us throughout our pre-teen and teen years with, as you say, microphones in hand, dances and shows. I wholly agree that she had a wonderful sense of humor and imagination. My thoughts are with you and your family.
