Susanne Elizabeth O'Fairo Banks

I met Mrs. Banks when she came to Ashley Hall to recruit blood donors in the mid 80's. A group of high school girls is a pretty tough audience but Mrs. Banks radiated a charm that won us over immediately. This plus the fact that the donation period coincided with a math class and well, a needle all of a sudden didn't seem so bad. Ralph and I loved Susanne. We were friends at Pinecrest Baptist Church. She always had a big smile and a cheerful attitude. She had a lovely voice and was an asset to the choir and to the entire church family.
