February 26, 1950 - December 21, 2012
SCOTTS MILLS - Susanne was born in Salem to Robert and Mildred King. She attended Salem schools graduating from South Salem High. She loved spending time at the ocean, walks on the beach, trips to Spirit Mountain, playing cards and board games. She loved all animals and had many of her own. But most important she loved spending time with her family and friends. Susanne would go out of her way to help anyone in need. She was a cancer survivor and had a real zest for life. Jim and Susanne were married on October 24, 1970.
Susanne is survived by her husband Jim; three children Lynda Hunter, Tim Forman, and David Forman; nine grandchildren; mother Mildred King; and sister Kathi and husband Ron Lehmann. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 26th at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St SE in Salem. Interment will follow at Belcrest Memorial Park.

grandma will be missed a lot by every one who knew her she was a happy person.she had just won the battle of beating cancer again and didn't deserve this in any way. she is laid to rest now.But has left a lot of memories in the harts that knew her thank you every one for your prayers

I met Susanne while working at Burgerville. She was the most loyal friend I have ever had. We shared a great love for our "critters" as she fondly called them. One time she called me because an old horse that she use to own was going to be put down and she asked me to take the horse, We drove down to the coast and picked up a poor skinny sick horse and took it to my house. She came over everyday until we got the horse healthy again. Even giving Tigger asthma treatments.
She actually convinced me and my husband to be on her bowling league. I am a horrible bowler but she always made me feel good about trying.
I will miss talking to Susanne, even though we didn't talk very often the last few years when we did it was as if no time had passed. The world has lost a very good person.
I am very saddened to see that I missed the funeral. Jim if I would have known when and where it was I would have been there to say goodbye to my dear friend.
My thoughts are with you Jim and your family I know that you are really missing Susanne. Know that she always said great things about you and loved you very much.

I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio Cheryl sister. I had the pleasure of meeting Susanne. What a person. She really helped my sister out alot. Cheryl and the girls will be at loss with out her.Susanna rest in peace your a great person. Cheryl and girls really loved her. Thanks for taking care of my sister with so many miles apart.
