Not sure what to say?

I took a group trip with Susanne Rappaport to England, Wales, and Scotland. I told her how I loved visiting Hildene and wanted to visit it again. She quickly offered to be my tour guide this spring. She was a very kind, generous, and thoughtful person who had great wisdom.

Susanne and I had fun as "school marms" at the Braintree School in West Pawlet. We interpreted school lessons as they would have been taught in the 1850s as we shared time together organizing living history presentations. I enjoyed supporting her efforts at the Folk Life Center in Middlebury and exhibits at the Dorset Historical Society. We always had pleasant times together. Neil had photographed my young family in the l980s. Patty Tobin, Wells, Vermont

I was so saddened to hear we lost such a talented lady. I knew her from First grade or earlier, at Brown school in Wellsley Hills through BCDS . We never crossed our paths after that, not did I know of her
Great achievements. We're proud of you Susanne!! Rest in peace, fondly

Want to say how much I valued and appreciated the gifts bot Susanne and Neil gave. VRand

Hearts touched and thoughts cherished by many of such a wonderful lady. Our prayers go with all her family and friends.

She was my first best friend, walking to school together every day from kindergarten through sixth grade. Then we went off to BCDS together for six more years! So sad to hear of her passing, my condolences to her family.

I was overwhelmingly saddened to hear of Sue's death. We were very dear friends in high school and summer camp, and I spent many sleepovers at her house in Wellesley, MA. I have thought of her so often since those days. Mac and Clint, I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I am so shocked and saddened by this great loss. Susanne's impact on the history museum community in Vermont was profound. So glad I got to see her receive a lifetime achievement award in late October. I will miss my friend and mentor.

I loved this woman with all my heart. Her gentle and caring soul touched so many lives and as such she will live on in all of us.
