Not sure what to say?

My mother, Stacy Broun met Susanne at Juliette fowler around 2019. She was nervous as a new resident but Susanne made it easier on her as she was the first person to befriend my mom. I never personally knew susanne well, but this gave me a sweet spot in my heart for Susanne immediately. i was so saddened that she had passed away, and noticed a painting of hers was to be given away. with permission, i received a beautiful oil painting done by her and it's hanging in my living room gloriously....

Probably the earliest picture of Susanne.

Susanne was not only our neighbor for 32 years but she was one of my husbands professors at Eastfield in the 70's ( along with Jackie Burden) . We were invited to sit on their porch when they spotted Francis at the wheel of our car during a random drive through the Munger Place neighborhood. We were house hunting in 1976. It had been years since Francis had seen Susanne or Jackie. As we sat on the porch playing catch up , I was describing my DREAM HOUSE and was told to call the owner...

What a way Susanne had of enriching every conversation, chat, phone call, and visit with her innate curiosity and her sweet concern for those in her life. And don't forget her spot-on sense of humor! It was a privilege to work with her on projects like Munger Place and the Friends of the Warren Ferris Cemetery. I count myself eternally enriched by being able to call her my friend. Peace to you, Susanne.

Susanne Starling was my 8th grade history teacher at Stockard Junior High in DISD in 1959-1960. She was the best history teacher I ever had because she knew how to make history come alive. She would draw battle plans on the chalkboard for strategic battles of the Civil War like Gettysburg. An inspiring and innovative teacher, she made history so interesting. I wish I had been able to connect with her over the years. I became an English teacher (43 years) and in my high school junior and...

I met Susanne when she lived at Vickery Towers. She was so friendly and vibrant. She served on the Vickery Place NA Board and was a wealth of knowledge on Dallas and Texas history. I greatly admired her and was so saddened to hear of her passing.

Susanne was in my Greenville High School class of 1951. I always admired her intelligence and friendly attitude. She was very popular. Jane Kahler

My mother and I will dearly miss Susanne. I too met Susanne on the Costa Rica rainforest adventure. Storytelling was our Monte Verde evening entertainment brought to us by Jackie and Susanne. The tales of 4912 Junius Street captivated us. Kimberley´s photo documents our Costa Rica reunion --our first-hand experience of the Junius Street community. I´m forever grateful to Susanne, she´s been an incredible role model in all facets of her life (teaching, community, continued learning, travel,...

I met Susanne approximately 26 years ago in Costa Rica. We were on a volunteer work vacation. Susanne and I remained in contact. Susanne visited us in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, we visited her in St. Andrews, NB and in Dallas. My family and I will miss her. She will remain in our hearts forever. RIP
