Not sure what to say?

I have been one of Mme. Carrell's little protegees, I guess you might say. Since age 13 I was intrigued with the French language, its people, its mores. I have never left the study nor the interest in French and France. My career has been totally involved in this, and what I experienced from Mme. Carrell, my French teachers, the American Field Service organization, the French Congres, the Alliance Francaise, Language Magnet schools in Jax, and Jacksonville's Sister Cities only served to...

Kathy, your mom was such a special inspiration to me and my family. I have so many happy memories of her when she was our neighbor. Last Sunday I was telling a group of friends how when she couldn't drive she would still make plans and stay active. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in her loss and in the celebration of a life well lived:! In Christian love, Barbara and Harvey Jay

JoAnn and I send our deepest condolences to the Carrell family, especially Kathleen and Bernard, on Suzanne's passing. She had a very long, active, distinguished and productive career in the educational field, and the founding, promotion and spread of French culture in Florida. Her work has been duly recognized, will be long-remembered and continue on for years to come.

On a personal note: Suzanne, Herbert and Kathleen were life-long friends of my family in Jacksonville going back many...

Please accept my sincere condolences to the family and friends. Losing a loved one in death is never easy. May the hope of everlasting life sustain and comfort you during this difficult time. (John 17:3)

Mrs Suzanne T. Carrell was the godmother of the French Choir "Les Chanteurs du Comminges" who toured Florida in 2000 and 2002 promoting French culture, thanks to her relentless help and committment to this musical tour. As director of this choir, I would like to express all my condolences to the whole family for their loss. We, the Chanteurs du Comminges have lost our godmother and her memory, committment and affection will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
