What a sad day when we lost our magical water colorist, our dog lady, our smiling, quirky, friendly Sue Geller.
I, myself, miss her already, as she was always brimming with interesting news and opinions. Never again. Inevitably life changes, but for us left behind, who knew and treasured her, life is less sparkly, less fun without the chance of running into Sue somewhere on the streets of La Jolla. Adieu dear friend.`

Sue was a great friend of the seals at Casa Beach and attended many meetings, including the City Council meeting 2/24/14 where the Council voted to close the beach during pupping season 12/15-5/15. I looked for her yesterday at the California Coastal Commission meeting and did not see her! Then I saw the obituary today in the paper, and was saddened by the loss of a great animal activist and fine lady. I am sorry she did not live to see the final win for the seals yesterday, but heartened by...
