Suzanne M. McBride

Suzanne M. McBride, 78, died on August 31st, 2023, unexpectedly and too soon. Born in Providence and a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Rene S. and Sylvia L. (Menard) Mondor. Suzanne was the loving wife to the late John McBride who passed on December 5, 2005. Suzanne and John were married on November 8, 1969, at Holy Family Church in Woonsocket.    

She was the proud mother of two wonderful sons: Shawn McBride (Chrissy) and Patrick McBride (Lori). Suzanne also leaves her loving sister Irene A. Roberts. Suzanne cherished her grandchildren who were her heart and happiness, Jackson, Allie, Jack, and Declyn. She enjoyed spending time with them and attending their sporting and school events. Her love and dedication to her grandchildren was beyond words. Fidelity to her faith was displayed in her devotion to the Rosary.  

Suzanne loved decorating her home for all holidays, especially Christmas. This earned her the nickname “Suzie Christmas”.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 8th at 10:00 AM in Holy Trinity Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket, RI. The burial will be private. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Suzanne’s memory to the pulmonary unit at Boston Children’s Hospital. Gifts can be sent to Boston Children’s Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301. Please include Suzanne’s name in the memo line.
