Not sure what to say?

I lived in Rona Hills for a few years during my childhood, when my father was in the Air Force. That was in the mid-1980's, and even then Sue Pearsall was a fixture of the neighborhood. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She passed at least four years ago as of this writing (April 2020), and I only found out a moment ago, after Googling her name.

I was maybe six or seven years old then, and I am 41 years old now. That should be some indication of how memorable she was.

I just mentioned Suzie to my brother Terry last week .. .and mentioned her again to Robin Rost Bertling yesterday and in reply she told me the news and sent me her obituary. I shared it with my parents, Roger and Judy Winn, and we all feel saddened by it. I think it shows how much she meant to me that I would still think of her and just casually mention her . .my kids, growing up in Europe, know who Suzie is. She was part of a beautiful childhood in Rona Hills, loved by us all, friendly...

Our house was a regular stop on Suzy's daily bike tour of Rona Hills. We played basketball and swam together. I have many fond memories of her. Rest in peace Suzy.

Have never forgotten Suzie over the years and miles apart. Whether it was in Rona, or at a game, or dinner at Roush's, she always had a smile and hug for me. Blessed to have known her.

I have many memories of Suzy. When I worked at the Rona Hills pool, she was the first in line-when the doors were opened-rain or shine.

I am so sorry to hear this news, and I wish that I would have been in town to attend the service. I can only echo what Jeff, Robin and Mary have said. Suzy and the Pearsall family were our neighbors and long-time friends. I will always remember Suzy running across the backyard to welcome my father home from Vietnam.

So very sorry to hear this news. The Pearsalls were part of the fabric of our neighborhood in the 70s. So many very happy memories of all of us riding bikes to and from the park and pool and our street games -- basketball, wiffle, backyard football. With sympathy and best wishes, Mary Catherine Coolidge
