Suzanne Beverly Penner

Our three children were students of Mrs. Penner at Vista Square School. She epitomized the calm, creative, compassionate person that children of that age need to thrive. She continued to be a mentor to me even after her retirement, as I tried to fill her place as a rookie kindergarten teacher in the same classroom, using some of her beautifully prepared lessons and materials. I used to think, "When I grow up, I want to be like Mrs. Penner!" She remains an inspiration in the way she lived her...

I was a classmate of Suzanne's at Hoover and remember her very fondly. She was a lovely person inside and out and I was saddened to hear of her passing away. Please accept my condolences for a wonderful lady and friend from my past to all her family and loved ones.
