Suzanne Pettyjohn, 61, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2007.

An empire mourns the passing of its queen. The laments are loud and long. We fly like wounded birds with broken wings in circles overhead. We cry out like inconsolable children, "my queen, my queen," but she does not reply. We hold...

Not sure what to say?

Have known Suzanne I guess all of my life. We grew up in the same church. Suzanne was the first girl I kissed when we were 5 years old, in Sunday School Class. Last talked with Suzanne was in 2005 and she was just as she was in high school. Anyone that knew Suzanne was truly blessed.

I met Suzanne during my recent hospital stay at North Hills Hosp. She and I were room mates. We checked into the ER and were admitted at the same time back in middle of June. Amanda and her other friends will agree when I say we really got to know each other during my four day stay. In those four short days she managed to make her way into my heart. She and I had made plans to get pedicures together at her favorite nail salon in Haltom City! She asked me to e-mail her and I had been anxiously...

The loss of a Suzanne is a loss to many. After only a few short years, she had become a special friend to me. With great sympathy to all her friends and family.

Suzanne lived "larger than life." Her amazing wit and charm blessed all who knew her. How can we ever forget "Bali Hai" and having Suzanne as a friend? Suzanne lives in our hearts and minds always. We bless her in her new adventure of life.

My most special memories of Suzanne from Carter-Riverside days are of her singing! Especially "Bali Hai will call you..." from South Pacific. What a blessing she was to many.

Shocking news that she had passed away - she will be missed

Suzanne made everyone around her feel better. As a classmate, she was a blessing. There really isn't enough time or space to give a fair account of her.

Knowing Suzanne was like being on an always changing stage, you couldn't wait for the next fun thing to happen. Suzanne was a great school friend, Carter-Riverside school years were great, because she was there!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. I am truly sorry for your loss. Suzanne was an amazing person. May your many happy memories bring you much comfort.
