Kind condolences to Suzanne´s dear family. Your Suzanne is one of the most important people in my life. She will continue in me as a mentor and as a friend who held nothing back in her love and in her care. She was able to tell me the things I most needed to hear if not wanting to hear them, and her wisdom landed so gently and so true. For all she endured in her younger years, I watched her earnestly heal in her adulthood, and then so gracefully pass on to others, reaching well beyond her own...

Suzanne facilitated the adoption of my daughter from the CA foster system. It was a difficult process as this child had many, many extremely challenging issues and the adoption ultimately failed. But she worked so hard on it and I remember her fondly. She also many times spoke about how much her Catholic faith meant to her in spite of the open hostility to religion she faced within the profession of social work. Wish I could have seen her again before she passed. Condolences to her family.
