I was lucky enough to have Suzie as my nextdoor neighbor for a little more than 2 years. She was 27 years older than I and a living history of almost the whole 20th century. Unlike many older people she didn't want to talk about her illness - she told me about her life, nursing, and her family. I was eager to listen about her life on the farm during the depression and WW2.
