Thank you for sharing your father/husband/grandfather with so many people. Many of us benefited by knowing Sven. I believe I was his last thesis advisee at the Univ of Iowa. We had a fun topic. Both I and the composer I wrote on are also of Scandinavian descent and halfway through the process we discovered that the three of us were all 7th cousins—which Sven found highly amusing. I was truly grateful for his guidance when I got stuck, his support when I became discouraged, and his humor....
