Dr Schiffer was my first "boss" and taught me so very much...in fact, it was through his teaching that I embarked on a 35--year career as a Medical Assistant. Long before it became a degree course. He was patient, kind and sensitive. . . a true role model. Barbara Fagan Williams

When I was a young physician in san Antonio in 1958, Sidney took me under his wing and mentored me. He taught me to read EKGs and we would sit together and her would critique my work. He was a wonderful friend and I will miss him greatly. Bernard K Weiner, MD
