I remember when he first joined the La Plata County Sheriff's Office and recall my dad talking with him in our driveway one evening and me thinking how perfect a fit that uniform was. We had a pretty good run together over the past damn near 50 years, partner. Many bad guys, hunts, trips, adventures---all with the copius and constant, required, "laughing & scratching".
