Sydney Lowe Shue

So sad to hear of this now. Mr. Shue was my math teacher in 1973. I even got the honorary "swat" because he never needed to before. Ha ha. Yes, that was the boat oar paddle he carried with him.! I am sure that was eliminated soon after that time as things have changed, eh? Was a pleasure knowing him and learning much as well. Forever good memories for sure. See ya again some day coach.!!!

I had Shue for math back in the day at MHS...he was a no-nonsense, straight up, give it to you without any fluff type of person...the type of person that we seem to have less of these days. Never unfair, always true, funny, and respectful of what was right. He was one of the few teachers at my school I absolutely respected.

What a super human being, dedicated coach teacher! Not many like Coach Shue, greatly missed. Also missing bringing in cookies for Coach!

I was sorry to learn today of Coach Shue's passing. Seeing his smile in the photos, though, brings back many happy memories of being in his math class at Magnolia High. You'll be missed. Class of 1971

Coach Syd - So sorry to hear you passed.
You were such a symbol of life, staying young and keeping fit.
Thanks for all you taught me by not even saying a word. I will miss your energy and that great smile.
