Enjoyed talking with Syl Johnson at the old Burning Spear. He was a nice gentlemen.

Rest in Peace Mr. Syl Johnson. I've always been a fan. I've always felt like you never got enough recognition for your talent.God has you now. You will be sorely MISSED.Praying for your girls that God will give them the strength to endure. Good Night to one of my favorites


Syl managed and guided our singing group “The Dynamic Tints” in the early 70’s. He was very instrumental in our successful record productions. Syl and Jimmy was loved and will be sorely missed by us the surviving members of the Dynamic Tints. Pete Wilson Jr, Ron Quinn and Robert Brown. Our sincere condolences to the family. Blessings

Sam Thomson was my uncle, my mother brother, Amanda Thompson Foster was my mom,& Syl was my first cousin , I met him in Chicago at my uncle James in Chicago. My Condolences and prayers.
