Not sure what to say?

very sorry for your loss, I worked at Dartmouth for years and Sylva had a smile that could make your entire day

Oh am so very sorry to hear about Syl’s passing as I just received a card from Janet today letting me know. I chatted with him back in April and of course he didn’t recognize when I told him it was Ann, and finally it clicked and he replied back it’s Poopsie. He and Janet are one of the last group in my parents generation that still call me that and I will cherish that forever. I am sure Syl, Armand, my Dad, and my Mom are catching up with each other, up above. My thoughts are with you...

OMG Janet I am so sorry to hear of Sylva passing,, my heart goes out to you and your family,,,,

I have to tell you when I read about the passing of Syl, my heart broke in 100 pieces. Syl was my fathers best friend. Whenever Syl came over to our house I would instantly know the two of them would get to laughing and telling stories to one another. To say Syl and Janet were like family to us would be an understatement. They lived right next door to us and it is one of the greatest memories I have growing up seeing them driving over to stop by to say hello. I loved Syl’s accent too. He...

An encounter with Syl always brightened one’s day. He was a kind and generous neighbor, always having a story and a twinkle in his eye. We will miss his voice and his simple wisdoms.

We are sorry to learn about Sylva..
He was a good friend to our family.
Sylva was a good story teller, giving, kind or with colorful words in your face tell you off...
We still have a chair he gave us when he built the sunroom.
Our deepest sympathy to all the family. We are unable to attend.

He was a great friend to my Dad. I loved his accent and sense of humor. Love and comfort to his family.

A most colorful resident on my road and will surely be missed by all anywhere in the area, and especially by his friends and family. I am proud to have had him as my friend.
