Msgr. Sylvester Fedewa

Msgr. Fedewa gave me private instructions/baptism 1955/1956 St. Marys Charlotte. His example of a Priest showed he loved the Lord and his bride the church. I inwardly hoped ( as a girl of 17) as we met that I would someday meet a man that loved me as much as he loved his vocation and his bride the church. A few times I called him over the years. Always willing to talk, never once did he say " I am to busy". I don't have a miracle to

Sy was a gentle giant of a pastor. He was truly missed when he left the Flint area. He was also a great classmate in the Doctor of Ministry program.

My sincere condolences to all the family.

Msgr. Fedewa was kind, gentle and compassionate. My children attended St. Gerard School and I found him so approachable and appreciated how hard he tried to be understanding, especially with the school children. I will always remember him fondly. He served his people well. Rest In Peace, Msgr.

Mgsr Sy was my spiritual director for many many years.

He was a very kind, gentle and generous soul with a great sense of humor.

I will keep Msgr Sy in my prayers as he kept me in his.
