I am just now learning Sylvester's death. Having left the Maywood area in late 2014 I've been out of the loop. My sincere condolences to the Hartigan family. Sylvester was a pivotal part of our parish and well loved. May he rest in peace.

Lord!!! I'm just learning of Syl death! My name is Michael Wheeler, I met Syl while working for IDOT part-time. Syl was such a God send to me and many others. Syl would share everything with his fellow workers. Syl would come out to Willowbrook, Illinois to sit and have breakfast with me at Matties off of Rt. 83. I moved to Georgia in September of 2016, Syl moved to Florida shortly after. I'll always respect Mr. Hartigan!!
