Pierre encourgaged me to share this anecdote with you. I only had the pleasure of meeting your Dad once at Brian's 40th. I remember chatting at length with him and feeling a bit mesmerized. I suspected, (and later Brian and Sue confirmed) that yes, I was very likely, being flirted with by a "master". Heard about your dad today from another ex-VC guy - Gwyn Shipman. Very sorry that I can't make the funeral - have a bunch of appointments this afternoon, too late to cancel! My sincere condolences on your loss -I know what it's like to lose your father, especially someone who's had such a strong impact on their family as your dad has!

Dad was the greatest Pops around. He had a tough exterior that expected the best from his kids. He loved his family and grandchildren. We are all going to miss his warm presence.
