Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the entire Muckelroy (Muckleroy) family. I've always said that I am related to every Muckleroy because my dad's mother was Bell Muckleroy who lived in San Augustine TX. My dad was Louis Epherson, who had roots also in Kilgore. I met Jasper briefly several years ago thru his son who was attending TSU. Y'all are my kin folks. I also understand that the name was sometimes spelled McElroy. Sorry for your loss but I just get happy when I see the name Muckleroy (anyway you...

MF. Muckelroy was a great Mayor, Educator, and father. His legacy will live on and he will be sorely missed. My prayers and condolences are with his family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. With Sincere Condolences!

Sending my most heartfelt condolences. May the peace of God be with You all.

I have many fond memories of Mr. Muckleroy. He was a gracious man. The family will be in my prayers. Your Dad is at rest.

Mr. Muckelroy lived a long illustrious life. He well deserves recognition for his dedicated service. He touched my life in numerous ways. He was Assistant Principal during my high school days. I have fond memories of his kind, stern method of discipline. He served as my supervisor at Pointe Coupee Parish School Board. He served the teachers well. He always gave us a positive outlook on teaching. He was the husband to Mrs.Leona Muckelroy. My daughters, Charnel and Vickie attended pre...

Mayor Muckelroy was the nicest man. Always a smile, made time even after being elected Mayor to talk to school children that wanted to do a paper on him, our son made an A. Our deepest condolences for your loss.

A soft-spoken, deliberate and gentle man, Mayor Muckelroy was one of the most honorable elected officials I've met in the 30 years I've been a reporter. Always quiet but possessing a powerful presence, the former mayor made City Council meetings a pleasure to cover. Always on time to begin, they always adjourned by 7 p.m. I joked with him that the Mrs. had told him dinner would be on the table at 7 and she would not be happy if he wasn't home while it was still hot. He never denied it. Rest...

In this time of sorrow, may your family find comfort and healing in God.
