My thoughts are with you. Even though I'm Wandas cousin I only got to know Van professionally as I left Waverly in '68. I do remember enjoying visiting with him,

Mr. Van Hove was a wonderful, kind gentleman who was a customer of mine at the College Hill Farmer's Market. He and my late husband would talk low German before the market began and I would just smile. I miss him and his beautiful head of hair.

I first met Van when he had his 2 little dogs. I was walking by them and I tried to pet them - didn't happen. But, this is when I first met Van. I got to know him better through out the years. Van was such a caring person! He was in charge of my brother and father´s funerals. I can´t express how he helped my entire family through the process. I lived in his neighborhood and would talk to him many days when out for my morning run and he would be caring for his beautiful yard. He was always positive and friendly. He will be missed by many. I will be praying for your family during this difficult time.
