Not sure what to say?

Papa I think about you every day especially around the holidays. Thanksgiving is coming up and that´s around the time you passed. Holidays without you having never been the same. I miss taking pictures of you and grandma Donna. I have so many wonderful memories. I remember you always telling me Young´s are strong and never let anyone break you. I always felt like I was your favorite probably because you told me I looked like your mother I never got to meet.I miss the strongest man I ever met...

To the best grandfather in the world!I miss you and love you so much. I miss all the police stories that you shared with us kids.I was always so proud to tell people that you were my grandfather. Papa you will always hold a special place in my heart...I loved when you would say I was so much like you..Thanks you for being a great role model!

Great human being.

He was so willing to help younger officers like me. He was a wealth of information. Plus I loved his sense of humor. Rest in peace.

Though I was new to the department, my path crossed with Syl's on a number of occasions. I found him to be a humorous and humble guy, yet a very focused and determined detective. More importantly, I think, we were able to share a few meals together at Ruby's Soul Food Cafe. My sincerest condolences to his family and to all whose lives were touched and made better by sharing part of our lives together with Syl.

R.I.P. Amigo.

I worked with Sylvester on KCPD in Robbery Homicide. Always a gentleman, always a friend. A good man, a good cop. Heaven is a little brighter today with Sylvester walking the streets
