Not sure what to say?

My Uncle Arnold and I visited Birmingham. It was my first time. While standing in the hallway Aunt Sylvia pointed to a chair and said, your grandma held you sitting in that chair. She knew how much that meant to me. I felt very close to her and miss her very much.

Our utmost condolences to our cousins. It is with heartfelt sympathy that we pray for you individually and collectively during this time of bereavement. We, the family of Major Hooks Sr express our love and support to you. We will truly miss our Aunt. She was a beautiful person with an award winning smile.

That was his first and only meeting with her but it made a lasting impression on him. I am grateful for her love for us and particularly her fondness for my mother, Betty. She once told me...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief, and find comfort from knowing that God draws close to the broken-hearted.
