Sylvia Kaplan

I was a hostess at the Heathman restaurant where Art and Sylvia were regulars of ours. She was such a firecracker and always had comments and stories for us girls at the desk. Our favorite stories were ones she would tell us about her and Art in their younger years. I've been away from Portland for a few years now, but I've thought about them both frequently. Sending my love to Art and the family.

I was Sylvia's Hairstylist and friend for 23 years! She truly cared about people and the world. I loved her dearly and will really miss her! JoAnn Dennis

I have many fond memories of Slyvia's visit to her local Zupan's. Many of us that worked there looked forward to her shopping trips and the stories that she would share with us. A very special lady, she will be greatly missed.

During times I was fortunate to speak with her, her love and appreciation for music always came through not necessarily loud, since that was not her nature to be loud, but always very clear. I'm honored to have known her
