Sylvia was my neighbor in DeKalb. She and Glenda welcomed me into their home on several occasions just to chat, provide mutual support and watch funny British humor on TV.
Sylvia’s energy was lovely to be around. I am grateful for the positive memories.

I am and will always be grateful I had an opportunity to know Sylvia. I enjoyed talking with her about her youth and hearing about her life before coming to DeKalb. She was inspirational. My sympathy to all of her family.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Sylvia in DeKalb where we shared our love of UUFD. Sylvia's wisdom and wry wit were well known and loved, and she was generous with her time and skills in our church community. I can still picture her and Glenda sitting at Gurler Folk Music Fest with their beautiful dog Athena! What a terrific life she had.
