Synn D. Rilea, 3-year-old son of Felcia Werner and Anthony Rilea, of Klemme, IA, became their guardian angel when he passed away, February 15, 2026, at the Stead Children's Hospital, Iowa City, IA.
The precious gift of this beautiful young boy was born on March 20, 2022, at Iowa City, IA. After spending a few months in the hospital, Synn made his home with his family in Klemme. He was welcomed into the family by his siblings: Jameson Rilea (8), Jayden Fuchs (18), and Julia Herman (20).
Shortly after his birth, Synn was diagnosed with some brain abnormalities and eventually with cerebral palsy. This diagnosis complicated several of the functions and activities that most people both young and older take for granted, but weren't necessarily something that Synn understood, nor kept him from bringing joy and love to all who came in contact with him in life. His warm and friendly smile, sparkling blue eyes, and beautiful long eye lashes would often captivate those in his presence. Not only was his life miracle, but his sweet personality, great spirit, and most of the time vibrance and happy attitude made Synn, a "Glowing Light for others!".
Like so many young children he loved times with his family and dogs, "Pig" and "Damon". Synn loved to play games with brother (best friend) Jameson and his buddy Jaxxon. He loved football and spectating at his brother's football games and was an avid Tennessee Titans fan. Enjoyed playing with his collection of "Stuffies" and watching TV. Synn loved to listen to music, a trait which was very befitting as he was named after a member of one his parents' favorite musical artists in Avenged Sevenfold. His most favorite show was "Tales from the Crypt!" He would often fall asleep watching the show or another scary movie which he was also fond of wrapped up in his favorite "Terrifyer" blanket. Synn was progressing forward in life to the point where his parents along with others were planning to commence speech therapy and other physical and health care plans to help him develop further, however, shortly before he left this life to become their heavenly angel he unfortunately contracted Influenza A and was life flighted to Iowa City about one week before he passed when the virus along with his other ailments made it unlikely that if he survived that quality of life would continue in a positive direction as his folks and family had so prayed for and the decision was made to let him. His brief time on earth will be like gazing at a clear moonlit sky with millions of stars flickering down and a shooting star streaking across the darkness leaving a permanent trail of love behind it on the hearts of all Synn touched.
Synn's short but beautiful and precious life journey will burn brightly in the hearts of his mom Felicia, dad Anthony, brother Jameson and Jayden (Erin Johnson) all of Klemme, IA; his sister Julia, New Hampton, IA; great grandparents Merlin (Cindy) Brown, and Grandmother Laurie Warren and Grandfather Mike Brown both of Klemme, IA, 3 uncles and 4 aunts on Anthony's side and 3 aunts and 2 uncles on Felicia's side, along with many cousins, extended family and friends.
Synn was preceded in death by his Paternal grandparents Patricia and David Rilea.
