Not sure what to say?

Michael and I were very close friends in mid 80s to mid 90s. I just found out about his passing and have not been able to sleep. Even though we have been out of touch for so long, I feel a deep sense of loss. Thank you for the time we shared, Michael! Love you.

I went through my doctoral program with Michael and just learned about his death. He was an amazing teacher, a dedicated educator, and a joy to be around. I am so sad to hear of his death.

I had the pleasure of knowing Michael as a teacher in the school I attended, and then as a mentor. I was truly blessed to have been able to be his student teacher. I learned so much in such a short time that I will never forget. Michael was the most compassionate and intelligent person I have ever met. He will be truly missed.

Michael, just want to say thank you for all the guidance, support and fun memories throughout the years!!! You will be missed!!! I treasure every memory!!!

Michael became part of my family and he was an amazing generous intelligent person who will be dearly missed. He took care of so many people here on Earth as he will do the same by watching over all of us in Heaven. Thank you Michael for all your kindness and the opportunity to have the chance to meet someone as special as you. You'll always have a special place in my heart.

I take comfort in knowing that now we have a special guardian angel to watch over us.

Dr. Heggerty,
You taught our son at Edgewood many, many years ago as he is a Junior in college now. You were his favorite teacher and he learned so much from you - mostly how to be a good person. We were sad to hear of your passing but we know that a good and amazing person like you is among the angels.

Michael, Michael, Michael:

Who knew that the last time we spoke would be the last time we would speak? Thank you for nearly 30 years of friendship... for laughter and tears... for music... for confidences shared... for more meals shared than I can count... and mostly for being willing to walk the journey with me. As your journey continues amongst the angels, I draw comfort from knowing you're now an angel for me. I love you... and I'll miss you until we're together again.

Michael,
I am so grateful for the years that we shared together and so very sad for the years that we won't. You were put on this Earth to teach others, and I have learned so much from you. You were a great man, a loving partner, and a dear friend. I will miss you, think of you, and love you every day.
