T. J. Howard

HOWARD, T. J. - Of Flint, age 69, died Friday, October 28, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2PM Monday October 31, 2005 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Mark Lasley officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 3-9PM Sunday at the funeral home. T. J. was born in Garrett, Kentucky on March 18, 1936, the son of Comodore and Lula Howard. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army, before coming to Flint in 1956. He was a member of the Reserves for 6 years. He married the love of his life, Martha Lou Hale on July 10, 1956. Mr. Howard was employed by Chevrolet V-8 Engine Plant for 30.7 years, retiring on July 1, 1987. Surviving are wife, Martha; daughter, Patricia of Flint; sons, Kenneth of Chapel Hill, Tennessee and Brian of Unionville, Tennessee; grandson, Christopher, also of Unionville, Tennessee; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Mr. Howard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
