Not sure what to say?

I am saddened to hear about the passing away of a great humanitarian. I remember him very well as a professor of religion and a s a friend with all employees from other nations. Can never forget his encouragement to set up a soccer club and play other teams in neighboring colleges. Though a Quaker, he was open to all ideas and understood other religions. He was a pillar at Wilmington College. He will be long remembered.

I will always remember Mr. Canby for his kind spirit. I would see him taking his dog out for a walk as I was visiting someone at the apartments. He will be missed!

Tim,
Your Dad was a good Friend and appreciated our conversations during his last two years of living here in Wilmington.

Dear Timothy,

We are saddened to learn of your father's passing. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories he leaves with so many. He and your mother found a special place in our lives as they were appointed by Campus Meeting to be the clearness committee for our marriage in 1957. Whether in the classroom or Quaker campus life, your father and mother's gifts to us have been those of long-lasting inspiration.

Dear Timothy, Your Father and Mother have always had a special place in my heart. I know Canby is now with Eunice, and is as happy as he looks in this picture. I know God will uphold you and your wife in His Loving Concern during this time. I send my love and prayers for both of you.
