I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Walker's passing. I just learned of it today. My heartfelt sympathy is with Dr. Cheryl and her family as well as the entire First Gethsemane Church Family. May God strengthen and comfort you during this very difficult time.

Just now learned of Rev. Walkers passing. Was saddened to hear as my husband and I used to watch him on television and enjoyed his preaching. Sending our love and condolences to his family and the church family.Mrs Lisa Cunningham (Gary)

Remembering Dr. Walker as a great mentor at Southern Seminary, a gifted preacher, a wonderful neighbor when I served a church a few blocks from First Gethsemane, and a model of hospitality that transcends all those artificial demographic barriers. Prayers for all Dr. Walker's loved ones. - Rev. Mark McClintock

REST WELL PASTOR WALKER

Pastor Walker was very kind to me during the Illness and Death of my Father , Rev Dr. Moses Sutton. In what was his last trip home to Morganfield KY, Pastor Walker, was so encouraging, to me, and the family. I visited FIRST G, several times, and he made this Methodist Preacher's Daughter, FEEL RIGHT AT home. My condolences to the family of Pastor Walker. There were a lot of famous people, who have left their mark on Louisville, KY. Pastor Walker is certainly among the Group of Great KY Men!

Rev. Dr. T. Voughn Walker shaped my knowledge and love for the African-American church when I took the African-American church history under his tutelage at Southern Seminary. Dr. Walker's memory will be indelible in my memory for his love for the Lord and his passion to make him known to all the nations. May the Lord grant him eternal rest and raise faithful pastors and teachers like him for his kingdom. On behalf of my family I pray God's comfort to his immediate family, The First...
