On March 15, 2005, TAKASHI SUGIURA of Darnestown, MD. Mr. Sugiura was born in Japan and was a Washington area resident for over 52 years. He was an art conservator for the Smithsonian Institute, Freer Gallery of Art, retiring after 27 years. Beloved husband of 65 years of Chii Sugiura; loving father of Motoko Walz, Atsushi Sugiura, Kumi Kinoshita and David Sugiura; cherished grandfather of six and adored great-grandfather of two. On Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m., funeral services will be held at HINES-RINALDI FUNERAL HOME, 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD. Interment wil follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville, MD. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, ICU Unit, 9901 Medical Center Dr., Rockville, MD 20850.
