Talan Nathan West, age 7, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016. He was born on September 20, 2008 in Robeson County to Steven & Jamie West.


 


He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy Devane Wright; his paternal grandfather, Richard Sandy West and his paternal uncle, Mitchell West.


 


Talan is survived by his parents, Steven and Jamie West; his siblings: Blaze Walters (age 16), Steven West (age 13), Raylan West (age 9), Jaylan West (age 8), Kirsten West (age 5), Abbie West, and Austin Stone; his maternal grandfather, Gregory Wright; his maternal great-grandmother, Myrtle Devane; his paternal grandmother, Judy West; his paternal great-grandmothers, Evelyn Hill and Vallie Hill;  his maternal aunt, Tiffany Wright; his paternal aunt, Angela Garcia; and his paternal uncle, Wayne West.


 


A time of visitation will take place on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.


 


A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.

May God, our refuge and our strength help you through your sorrow and in His mercy grant you peace to lighten each tomorrow.

My heart aches for the loss of your precious son who left this earth at such a young age. I cry along with you and pray for you to find peace and comfort as time goes on. I do believe that Talan is safe in the arms of Jesus. There is a day of being together once again in God's heaven. May you know God's grace and find His strength till then.

My heart aches for the sorrow in your heart for your sweet little boy who left this earth too soon but I believe he is safe in the arms of Jesus. I have cried along with you and am praying for your family that you will find comfort and inner peace over time. Knowing Jesus as your Savior will bring you all together again in Heaven. For now, it is only a temporary separation. God bless and help you all. Please lean on Him and He will give you strength to go forward.
