Talmadge Spurgeon Baker Jr.

Talmadge was born on November 30, 1933 and passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019. Talmadge was a native of Coward, SC, a graduate of Lake City High School, Clemson University, and received his master's degree from NC State University. He served in the US Army and worked for many years as the Director of the Randolph County Cooperative Extension Service. He is survived by his wife: Sara Campbell Baker; son Kevin Baker and wife Teresa and granddaughter Lauren Baker of Stem, NC The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro with Military Honors.
