PETTIT, Tammy L. - Of Mundy Township, age 64, died unexpectedly on Monday, February 27, 2023 at her residence.


A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2pm Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,


Pastor Harvey Pettit officiating.


Cremation will take place following the service.


Visitation 4-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Tammy was born in Flint, Michigan on March 13, 1958 the daughter of the late Roger and Catherine (Liddle) Pettit. Tammy graduated from Grand Blanc High School, Class of 1976 and earned her Associates Degree from Mott Community College in 1998. She enjoyed camping, tubing, University of Michigan football, playing Euchre, but most important was time spent with her family. Tammy was employed at Logistics Service Inc. for 23 years.


Surviving are daughters, Andi (Kevin) Thompson of Durand, Jennifer (Shawn) Baird of Lapeer, Lindsay Lloyd and Doug Veatch of Hartland and Erica Lloyd and fiance, Mike Koulchar of Grand Blanc;


14 grandchildren, Lucas Thompson, Gavin Thompson, Carley Thompson and Conner Thompson, Hunter Geda, Alyssa Geda, Skylar Lloyd, Rees Hippensteel, Jaylin Dorko, Austyn Dorko, Landon Dorko, Colton Lloyd, Ashlyn Lloyd and Harlon Lloyd;


brothers, Thomas (Jan) Pettit and Pastor Harvey (Diana) Pettit;


sister, Jodi (Kelly) Hakes;


several nieces and nephews;


many special friends, including Dennis Peplinski, Tammy Bates and Marie Smith.


She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Janie Pettit and grandsons, Blake and Brent Sly and best friend, Jackie Olk.

Sorry for your loss. I work at Flint Assembly and have worked with Tammy for a few years. She was always very helpful and was always positive and pleasant. She knew her job and how to get things done. She always went the extra mile to help us out. I will miss her.

So sad. Condolences to the family. Tammy and I were friends back when we went to Brendel Elementary. Graduated with her from GBHS.

We had a lot of fun as kids at Grandma and Grandpa’s house in Milan Indiana. RIP cousin Tammy.
