Ms. Tammy Lynn Pridgen, age 52, a resident of Gilbert Lane, Washington, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
Ms. Pridgen was born in Beaufort County on June 2, 1969. She was the daughter of the late William Eldred Pridgen and Joyce Ann Carrow Pridgen. Ms. Pridgen was a rehabilitation nurse. She served her country in the U.S. Army. Ms. Pridgen enjoyed helping others as a nurse and being a mother.
Ms. Pridgen is survived by two sons, Roshad Pridgen of Washington, Aven Harris of the home; a close family friend who was like a son, Solomon Gibbs, Jr. of Washington, a brother, Keith Pridgen and his husband, Ik Jumani of Charleston, S.C.; brother-in-law, Lee Cherry of Washington and nieces and nephews, Brandy Powell, Josh Powell, Anna Lee Powell, Trae Cherry, Jessica Cherry, Scarlet Cherry and Loren Cherry.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pridgen was preceded in death by her sister, Neva Cherry and her brother, Wesley Pridgen.

Tammy was a sweet younger sister to my fellow friend/Girl Scout Neva and daughter of my sweet Girl Scout Leader. Keith, I just found out. Tammy was such a sweet person from time I met her in nursing school. Anytime I ran into her at work we would catch up on each others family especially our children. She did love them boys for sure.
