Happiness to Share
"Anytime I see anything purple," said Tara Moore Debek's sister-in-law, Tara Moore, "I can't help but think of her." Ms. Debek was obsessed with purple, and even had purple contact lenses, Ms. Moore said. Ms. Moore also thinks of Ms. Debek anytime "Jesse's Girl" by Rick Springfield plays on the radio, and anytime she sees a Broadway show, another of Ms. Debek's passions. "I saw `Mamma Mia!' and I couldn't stop crying during the whole play," Ms. Moore said. "I just knew how much she would love that music."
Ms. Debek, 35, an assistant vice president at Marsh & McLennan, left her husband, Derek, and a 6-month-old daughter, Paige, when she died at the World Trade Center.
"She was the one who went out of her way to make sure everyone was always happy," said her brother-in-law, John Reahl, who remembered how she planned a trip to Disney World for nine family members not too long ago. "She took care of a lot of the happiness the family shared."
She had a lot of happiness to share, Ms. Moore said. "The most memorable thing about her, to me, is actually how much she loved her life. She was the happiest person I know."

My name is Tara as well, so of course Tara's name stood out to me in memorials today. I got on line and read what I could about her. She sounds like she was an amazing woman, and I'm so sorry for your loss. Tara and I are a year apart in age, and I just finished painting rooms in my house red and purple. Weird coincidence - I'll light a candle in remembrance of Tara and all the victims of that horrible day. Best to your family, and to Paige.

"Friends are forever, you might lose them but you'll never forget them."
Tara and I met in kindergarten in Lindenhurst and became best friends. I remember joining Brownies together, the sleepovers and how kind her family was to me. We even sat next to each other in Mr. Wirth's 6th grade class at E.W. Bower. I moved to Ireland in 1979 and we lost touch. My heart aches for her family and I think of her often. Everyone leaves footprints in your memory, but the ones that leave footprints in...
