Tara Lynn Phillips, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 24, 2018. Tara's departure from the physical world leaves behind her mother, Nancy Phillips of Auburn, MA; her brother and his wife, Jason and Caitlin Phillips of Austin, TX; her grandparents Betty and Bruce McQuarrie; her aunts and uncles Amy, Mike, Laura, and Gary; her cousins Dan, Jackson, Fiona, Sarah, Lucas, and Michael: and her many beloved friends from coast-to-coast. Tara will join the company of her father, Douglas Phillips; her four-legged son, Bastian; her Aunt, Drucilla Brown; and her grandparents, Frank and Mavis Phillips.

Tara was an actor and creator. She taught us and will continue to teach us how to live out loud, be authentic, and make our dreams a reality. Tara's spirit brought joy to so many. In honoring this spirit, she would challenge us to laugh harder, feel with our whole hearts, and sing at the top of our lungs.

"She believed she could, so she did."

Not sure what to say?

I know if I would have gotten the chance to meet you all, her family- I would have instantly connected with you all and one could just tell That sweet smile-maker had good family that loved her dearly and whom she loved- because she had such a glowing, caring , hilarious and attentive personality that could have only come from a very strong lineage-and just a well of real-ness she drew from which just always put me at ease. I cannot remember one time where she didnt make me instantly smile...

Dear Nancy, Jason, Bruce, Betty, Laura, Amy and the whole beautiful McQuarrie/ Phillips family,
Both Jeff and I were shocked to outer core upon hearing of Taras passing. So devastating to lose a young vibrant person we both knew and loved. The absolutely worst news any parent or grandparent could receive. Our hearts go out to all of you. We grieve for Tara every day. We can only imagine your heart break.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
Olga and Jeff

In the little contact I was lucky enough to have I found her to be a loving, outgoing person .She loved her family and her life.My big regret has been I was never able to tell her to her face what joy I knew she brought to her Gran and family.RIP little one

I was deeply saddened to hear about Tara's passing.

Although I never met Tara, her versatility as a performer impressed me. Tara was a gifted actress, comedian and host.

My thoughts are with Tara's family.

Such a talented beauty. She always made me laugh. So many people loved Tara- she is so missed.

To the Family and Friends - Wow - I am just in aw that I was just chatting with her over this past weekend. I only knew her for a short time but like many people that knew Tara she was a ray of sunshine. She was a true friend and I wish that only I had the change to see more of her.
