New London-Tatia Spann, 58, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Tatia was born Feb. 17, 1966, in Columbia, S.C., the daughter of Modesta Tyreea and her predeceased father, Walter Brown. Tatia was a member of New London Gospel Lighthouse Mission church, under the leadership of Pastor Levester Jones Sr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London. Interment will immediately follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, New London. Please visit www.Byles.com to sign the guest book, share a memory or for directions.
My Dear Modesta, I am so very sorry to hear about Tatia and that we have lost contact since Jimmy departed this Earth. With Jimmy and I being so inseparable for many years and decades, you and Tatia were like big and little sisters to me and treated me like family. Please accept my sincere condolences from the Jones and Sebastian families. May Tatia rest in peace.
