I'm saddened to hear this news. I've know him since the Francis Willard days. My dad really enjoyed having coffee and talking with your dad. Ted was one of his few friends left who was older than him. My sympathy to you and your family.

I bought my first boat from Ted's Boatarama back in 1984, but I didn't get to know Ted until he and his family purchased property next to my home in Port Byron some 20 years ago. I was amazed how physically active he was at 80 years old. He would entertain me with his stories about WWII, his boat store, and his political career. Ted lived an amazing life, and I'm happy I got to know him as a friend. My condolences to his loving family.

Ted did a lot of good things for his community and friends. It was always a fascinating discussion when you got a chance to visit with him. He was a good man with a good family who will be missed.
